1960’s Movements

In my opinion, the 1960's was a time when people in the United States was protesting for having equality and the right to choose. The civil rights movement was seeking to eliminate segregation. The women also wanted equal rights because they did not want to be neglected anymore, and the anti-war movement was protesting for peace as well as the hippies. Despite all these groups had different motives to protest they were all responding to different social and political issues that were going on in the 1960's. I think, the most important link between all the movements and the hippies is that in some way they all promoted human rights.
