The American family in society has effects. Some families have freedom and equality of each member because some of them love to see their life. However, family in America, I do not think they live with each other for a long time because they understand freedom incorrectly. On the other hand, in Saudi Arabia we have different society and role. We have to follow the customs and traditions. The important thing in our culture is convergence of family and lives in the same house.
